Not sure what I am doing.

I’ve been a teacher for a long time. In the last few years I’ve started repeating the mantra “Do Less Comma Better” to students as a way to help them calmly focus on one thing at a time. I don’t remember how it came into being or if I heard it somewhere else first. I’ve found myself attempting to use this mantra in my personal and professional life – with varied success. On any given day I’m flooded with an overwhelming variety of options for my time and attention. So much so that it often becomes difficult to remember what I originally set out to do.

I decided to start this blog on a whim. I’m not really sure why, other than to publicly document my exploration of this phrase, “Do Less Comma Better.” When I think about it in the short term, I think it impacts my ability to sift out the important things from the static. In the mid-term it helps me think about impact. In the long-term it helps me to reflect on longevity and sustainability.

If you are reading this, maybe you are curious about this idea too. I hope that my words on this blog may help us arrive at some shared discoveries. I appreciate your indulgence as I stumble forward and look forward to this journey.

Me too…..I’m always overwhelmed with so many tasks…

But remember this, if you are doing one task, focus on it and complete it whatever it takes. If you get sidetracked, come to that same track once again πŸ˜‰, if have complete attention in one task, we have highest chance that it’ll be successful….
